Randomness

The awesomesauce that feeds my creativity.
And other stuff.

So I was just shopping

And a little boy came up to counter at the same time as me. He bought a tub of chocolate chunk icecream and three boxes of laxatives.
The cashier said, “thank you and have a good night.”
The kid turned around and grinned, “Oh, I’m gonna.”

O.O

PSA Keep pranks funny

April fools pranks.

Be KIND to people. Pranks are only funny when the people involved are close enough for pranking to be a mutual thing. The prankster should KNOW that their intended target is okay with being pranked.

Informational, mental, or emotional pranks aren’t funny. They are mean and can be triggering to people. Things that cause people undo stress are never a good thing.

When it comes to food based pranks: PEOPLE HAVE ALLERGIES. If you do not know the target well enough to know if they will have a LIFE THREATENING reaction - DON’T DO IT.
I.e. Want to swap their toothpaste with hemorrhoid cream? Don’t.
Want to swap their whip cream with mayonnaise? Don’t.
It may seem funny to get a reaction, but it could possible injure of kill someone with the wrong allergy.

No brainer but: NEVER do anything to someone’s medication, or add something that is chemically altering to anything someone will touch, drink, eat, breathe, etc.

Thank you, just needed to say it.

Had to unfollow a handful of blogs. My tumblr was so dang full every time I opened it, it would take 3 hours to get through at minimum. and by the time I got through it, I’d have another 3 hours of posts waiting…

Nothing personal. Just for my sanity.

Assuming the Japanese text doesn’t read: “THIS IS A FAKE AND I’M A DUMB MORON FOR POSTING THIS OBVIOUS FANART”, then this is the first real key art for the new Sailor Moon anime: Sailor Moon Crystal. Oh my lord it’s gorgeous.

screaming. crying. This image is from the actual site though it’s a leak but.
It’s perfect if someone yells psych at me I will lose my mind.

It’s true that money can’t buy happiness, but it would sure solve a lot of my problems.

These stopped fitting after two classes!

YIKES! What happened? I have never heard of this happening…

YES!  This is happening to me!  I decided to try some Bloch European Balances and now it feels like they’re loose in the boxes.  I’ve only had them for about a month and I really don’t feel like getting new ones and breaking them in.  Tell me if you find out what happened!

The only thing I can think of is maybe it wasn’t a snug/tight enough fit to begin with, so when the satin stretched, as it does, it then fit too baggy. I always buy my leather or satin shoes a little more snug because within 1-3 hours (classes) of wear they fit more generously due to sweat and just having weight in them. It can be the hardest part of buying dance shoes… IMHO (trying to think “how will this fit in a few classes, as opposed to right now?”).  It’s why I try to buy mine a little snug. I don’t often hear of it in a pointe shoe…I guess because the fitting process is more stringent. So this is odd to me…

If the satin is stretching, you can pinch and sew the extra fabric together and then down on the outside. It isn’t as pretty, but it can help the fit, especially if you have a small heel and there is too much fabric in the back of the shoe. Just make sure your sewing is in tight small backstitches. You can do it on the inside, but it can rub and give blisters. (Same as sewing elastics on the inside/outside. Dancer preference.)

I would say if the box isn’t fitting that you didn’t give them proper time to dry out in between wearing and need to buy two pairs at a time, so you can switch every class. View high resolution

eataku:

Walking around Kobe, doing some last minute shopping on our last day visiting family last year, Mutsumi and I stumbled on these signs and just had to go in…

We’re cat lovers, but had never been to an actual Japanese cat cafe before…
